Never Say Never. Things I thought I would never do but did anyways. Also, this blog isn't for hungry people.

Jessica reminded me that we should do one thing that scares us everyday. Well that certainly happens to me since I am scared of everything. For example. Two weeks ago I wore shoes to church that had a little heel. It was a bad idea since I have never walked this much in my life my feet are constantly throbbing. (The things I do for fashion, right?) On the way I had to take off my shoes (fortunately I had socks in my purse) and walked home really fast hoping not to step on a needle or something.

I also went places by myself on the subway, twice! I felt so proud. I didn't get lost either. A lot has happened in the past two weeks. I took a lot of pictures which is good because I can't remember what I did.

Sidenote, Ben Stiller was filming a movie on our street. Here is a pic I borrowed from another BYU student. I also swear I saw a famous man on the train but I can't remember his name...will update when I figure it out.

We went to Little Italy awhile ago and I took this picture. FYI, Mom you make better food than they can. Still haven't found any italian food as good as yours.

On the official day of our first week in New York we went out to a Korean restaurant. I was a little tentative because I have never had Korean food but it was amazing! I can't pronounce what it was called but it was something like bombini boo boo..HAHAHA

Thursday we went to Phantom of the Opera. I teared up in the opening scene. It was beautiful. If you know me you know I hate musicals (minus Phantom) and it blew my mind. Those people are so talented to be able to since and dance like that so perfectly.

Over the weekend we decided to take the ferry out to Staten Island. We discovered there is nothing actually there. We got some amazing views of the city with the fog over the water. After we explored the food trucks on the pier and celebrated Cinco de Mayo by eating at Chipotle. I also saw a Goodburger restaurant. That made my day. If you happen to remember Keenan and Kel movie.

So really this blog is turning into a food blog of sorts...but I can't help it if most of my adventures in NYC are centered around food..this place is a MECCA of culture, art, and food. In fact, food is art and culture. Charlotte told us about a really good Pho place she found so we decided to go give it a try. Another cultural food experience. We loved it!

I accidentally made mine really hot because I love adding sauce so much..i was pretty much crying at one point but it was GOOOOOD.

This past Thursday we got to go to a New York Yankees game. It was really fun. And they won so that is always a bonus.

Friday Me, Jessica, Gabe and Mike went to Chelsea Market. It was darling there. I loved it. There were some amazing smelling bakeries, cheese stores, and chocolatiers.

For dessert we went to the divine Juniors bakery...heaven equals Red Velvet Cheesecake.

Saturday we went to the Bronx Zoo. It was so nice to feel like I wasn't in the city for a day. I love animals so I was in heaven.

This polar bear shows exactly how I feel at the end of the day :)

After dinner we were set on going to the world famous Dinosaur BBQ. (Okay i don't know if it really is but it should be!) The wait was so long we took a little nap on the Hudson River while we waited.

This photo was one that Gabe took on the roof one night. I thought it looked awesome

These were certainly an eventful past two weeks. I can't remember all the awkward moments I had but there were a lot. One day I was singing to Jessica that song "Im bossy," but told her I changed the words to "Im goofy," and as I started dancing we walked around the corner and there stood a guy that works in our building. He said, "Don't worry, its Friday." When something terribly awkward happens we can't look at each other because we laugh so hard. Another day Jessica almost got owned by a bus (again) and I yelled Oh JESSICA! When it was okay to cross the street I barreled across almost running some lady over. I don't know why but I barrel across the street a lot. I also have developed a new crush. I don't really say anything but stare at him in the elevator. Creepy I know.

The last word I will leave you with today is

AMERICA.
